Who? What? Why?
My name is Jennifer & I'm a 24 year old wife, mother, occasional student, bi-weekly teacher, & frequent nut case. When I'm not changing diapers, cleaning messes, doing laundry, or cooking meals, I'm asleep. Like most stay at home moms (or as my husband likes to call it- domestic technicians) my life revolves around my faith, my family, & my responsibilities to both. I try hard at all I do, but sometimes my shortcomings are overly obvious.
I enjoy spending time with my family, but when I do get a few moments to myself I can be found writing in my journal, reading anything, doing some sort of Bible study, or trying to find some new & improved way of managing the house, the schedule, & the kids. Every once in a while, when we stumble into enough money to cover it, I'm a student at the local college. I'm hoping that within the next 10 years I'll finally finish my accelerated degree program (aka: get a 4 year degree in 2 years) & walk across the big stage with my B.A. in Social Work.
So why write a blog? Well, why not! Let me reiterate here- I'm a stay at home mom with a limited connection to the real world, aside from children, & no outlet or escape from it. I know it's not a very popular position to take, but if women were given the chance to be honest, really honest, without being afraid of what others would say, I believe most of them would feel the same way as me- alone, secluded, & trapped. I love my life, but some days I hate it. I love my kids, but some days I wanna tape their mouths shut. I love my husband, but some days I wish he'd go back to work... & I know I'm not alone in feeling that way.
That's why I write. This is how I let it all out. If I get a few dirty looks along the way, that okay. If I get some advice along the way, that's even better.
